Who we are…

River City Royalties was founded in 2024 by Tyler Turner and Nick Hess, who live in Kansas’s own “River City.” Though River City Royalties is newly formed, it is not a Wall Street operation jumping on the latest investment trend with a short sighted vision. Instead, we focus on the acquisition of fractional producing royalty and overriding royalty interests in older oil and gas fields throughout Kansas and across the country. We value these interests, which require significant time, attention, and experience to manage correctly. Although Kansas is our home and primary focus, River City Royalties has purchased producing royalty and overriding royalty properties in at least ten states across the USA. The company has closed on over 1,600 individual properties from over 400 unique sellers since its founding.

Tyler and Nick started their oil and gas careers as landmen and have over 30 years of combined experience in the Kansas oil industry (with no plans to stop). Each has significant experience in the management of oil and gas interests and understands how to navigate all aspects of oil and gas ownership .

River City’s associates, Ben Hambright and JJ Hambright have a deep and respected family heritage in the Kansas oil and gas business, and are valuable members of our team.
